Desolate. That's the word that best describes Heather Mound. It's a frozen planet, perpetually in winter, with snow-covered desert and wind-swept snow drifts. The atmosphere is toxic, and the snows are desolate. The mountainous terrain is treacherous, and survival gear is required. The small population huddles in a winter camp, trying to eke out a living. But the biosphere is in decline, and each day is a struggle for survival. – Milky Way Digest [MWD} vol 25 pg 25 –

When I first heard about Ramger Outpost O-25, I was excited. A planet with a breathable atmosphere and frozen in perpetual winter sounded like my kind of place. And it's rich in mineral deposits, so there's potential for mining. Plus, winter recreation is a big draw for tourists. But I was warned that the planet is unfriendly without winter gear, and the population is small. The wind-swept snow drifts and rugged mountain terrain make it difficult to get around. Winter Camp Solitude is the only place to stay on the planet, and it's not luxurious. But I love it here. It's a challenge, and I feel alive in a way I never have before. – Milky Way Digest [MWD} vol 3 pg 15 –
